RE: Intuitive Eating for Optimal Health
@Connie https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/33786858/
Results: Intuitive eating was inversely associated with multiple indices of eating pathology, body image disturbances, and psychopathology (rs = -.23 to -.58). Intuitive eating was positively associated with numerous positive psychological constructs, such as positive body image, self-esteem, and wellbeing (rs = .20 to .58). Men reported higher levels of intuitive eating than women (d = 0.39), with differences being largest in Caucasian samples. Meta-analytic path analyses strongly supported the hypothesized pathways specified in the Acceptance Model of Intuitive Eating.
Conclusions: There is a strong evidence base for intuitive eating's connection to numerous adaptive psychological constructs. Attention should now shift toward prospective and experimental designs so that the temporal nature of these relationships can be identified.

Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG)
I've been reading up on EGCG lately, and I'm pretty stoked about its potential benefits for healthy aging. For those who haven't heard of it, EGCG is a powerful antioxidant found in green tea. It's kind of like the superhero of tea compounds, and it's been getting a lot of attention in the world of longevity research.
I've found studies suggesting that EGCG might help with everything from reducing inflammation to protecting our cells from oxidative stress. Plus, it's been linked to a lower risk of age-related diseases like heart disease and even some types of cancer. I've started drinking more green tea since learning about this, and I gotta say, I'm loving it! What do you all think about EGCG? Have you noticed any benefits from drinking green tea or taking EGCG supplements? Let's chat about it!
